Shop Small Saturday
Sandwiched between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Small Business Saturday, a national day dedicated to helping small local businesses and their communities. The Mount Vernon small business community is proud to take part in Small Business Saturday, also called “Shop Small Saturday.”
“I encourage everyone to come out and support locally owned and operated businesses by shopping, especially for those unique holiday gift items,” said former downtown manager and holiday shopper Carrie Crouch. “There are so many wonderful businesses and people to get to know in our town. Consumers will enjoy top-notch customer service, friendly store staff and a one-of-a-kind holiday environment.”
This national movement, initiated by American Express, brought more than one million people together last year to shop small in their communities. Whether you are a small business owner or a customer, encourage your friends to shop small in Mount Vernon. Everyone can help spread the word about Small Business Saturday, especially on social media by using #ShopSmall. The more people and businesses that get involved, the bigger and more beneficial the day will be.
